Developing a Marketing Plan Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Developing a Marketing Plan - Assignment Example Devising a course of action that can give a detailed description of a product proposed by a firm may be a complex matter since the plan has to incorporate market segments, have a clearly defined data that is relevant to the identified market, and compose of an implementation plan (Steinberg, 2011:5). The task of this is to plan and describe a research programme to identify attractive market segments relevant to a product that I will propose and estimate the size of the relevant to it. After analysing a number of factors such as category involvement, product preference motivators, product purchasing patterns and media habits, this research paper resolved to propose consumer electronics as the product of choice. By use of market planning tools that include market segmentation indicators such as psychographics and psychographics, the identified plan described this market as suitable for selling consumer electronics (Steinberg, 2011:8). This is because, upon dividing the estimated total population of the market into subsets using demographic indicators, research identified a variety of market segments that include light, heavy, and medium consumers of consumer electronics (Miller, 2010:6). ... The plan also identified who belong to the same age pattern but exhibit more streams of concurrent customers (Alcock, 2003:7). As such, by use of a computer assisted personal interviewing (CAPI), this research essay managed to produce the following data. There are older men and women who consume the proposed product excessively; there are people who look like concurrent customers, people who would not use the product, while there are others who would buy the product upon spotting it on the market (Steinberg, 2011:11). Additionally, when the research changed its planning methodology and used face-to-face interviews, it established that 10 percent of the overall population aged between 18 and 49 would buy the product if it had promoting incentives (Miller, 2010:9-10). On the other end, 9 percent of the market population, just as illustrated by the demographic measures, would buy the product if satisfied their needs in terms of quality and durability. Using the same methodology of data collection, this research paper found out that there are five different benefit segments and five diverse personality segments as well as six unique attitude segments (Steinberg, 2011:15). This data is relevant to the proposed product because, in this age and date, as far as marketing and sales goes, there is increased personalization whereby some people might even argue that the product offers some potential target markets that are equal or uniform to the identified population. Marketing mix After setting research results, the research team deployed polls about public beliefs whereby it found out that this market segment is democratic and people belief in preferences and media information (Kline, 2006:5). After that, recommended marketing

Globalization and its Discontents paper - Essay Example The policies devised by them are a result of prolonged discussions between the economists. The policies that have been devised by the International Monetary Fund have helped many countries to overcome the problem of financial crisis. In order to avoid a financial drought the country has to avoid all sorts of financial problems that may come up. The country has to control the flow of money internally otherwise the financial crisis cannot be avoided (IMF). If the international capital flow is not maintained properly, economic stability in a country cannot be achieved. The price in the country cannot be stabilized and hence the financial policies designed to overcome the crisis cannot be implemented properly. This shows that if a country has to prosper in terms of finance and economics it has to improve its structure internally and then ask for help from the outside sources. Hence if a country is in the developing stage and is not practicing its economic policies properly, the Internati onal Monetary Fund also cannot be of much help. One example of such a country is Botswana which improved itself internally and prospered than any other country in Africa. When Botswana got independence it was suffering from a severe financial crisis. And it was of utmost importance to address the issue properly. Botswana was rich of agriculture and diamonds but lacked the resources to make use of both these assets. The assets in the country did not prove to be lethal for them as they were used in the right way. This was quite beneficial for the country to achieve stable economy. The political leaders of Botswana believed in national integrity and worked towards the betterment of the state. And thus Botswana did not approach the International Monetary Funds for any kind of aid. But they received advices and suggestions from the outsiders who belonged to public or private institutions. These advisories helped in devising a future plan for the country. They laid out plans which involved the whole structure of the country and not only one department. The advisors selected by the state were properly interviewed and then hired. This showed that the state w as being controlled properly and each and every individual in the state had the spirit to move the country towards prosperity. For e.g. the deputy governor who was referred to by the IMF was only hired by the state when he was interviewed. This clearly illustrated that the state was internally stable and was working towards the betterment of the state. The state of Botswana maintained a good relationship with the International Monetary Funds through out its history. The advisories of International Monetary Funds helped the state of Botswana in tackling the problems of economics in the state. And these advisories were highly honored by the state of Botswana. Botswana was not helped properly by the IMF when it faced the problem of liquidity. But this was because of the requirements of the IMF. An economic policy should be devised before asking for any financial help from the IMF. This generally is a correct way of handling the situation as the IMF provides support so that the state ca n prosper further. However even then the state of Botswana was strong enough to pass through these problems. The reserves which the state of Botswana had from the income generated from its natural assets

The paper attempts to look at basic management concepts and their effective application in the daily running of a company. The basic definition of management is getting work done by others. Comprehensively management can be described as a set of functions that are directed at the efficient and effective utilization of resources for the achievement of set organizational goals. The difference thus arises in the management of the Royal Store that violates the definition of management, as its management does not adhere to any set functions. The difference thus arises in the management of the Royal Store that violates the definition of management, as its management does not adhere to any set functions. a) Relationship Between Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Productivity Effectiveness in the running of a business organization refers to the making of right decisions and successfully implementing them. It also means the accomplishing of tasks that are helpful in achieving organizational objectives. On the other hand, efficiency in a business entity refers to getting work done with the use of minimum effort, expense, or waste. Efficiency entails the use of resources available to an organization in the most cost-effective way. Effectiveness and efficiency in any business organization contribute to productivity. This forms one of the major arguments of Taylor on the issue of productivity. Productivity entails the performing of assigned duties in the manner that is required. In any company, the measurement of productivity is imp ortant in relation to the resources employed, which include labor, time, and monetary resources against the total output. Effectiveness and efficiency establish a base in measuring productivity in any organization. The Royal Store in its business activities exhibited lack of efficiency and effectiveness in its management leading to the productivity falling below the ownerââ¬â¢s expectations. The company in its efforts to boost productivity should employ several of Fayolââ¬â¢s principles on successful management. The first principle they can inculcate is the unity of command. The principle means that any organization no matter how large it is should

5step Approach to Biomedical Science Research Essay
5step Approach to Biomedical Science Research - Essay Example But these molecular determinants were undefined. In an another report thapsigiargin , a sesquiterpene lactone inhibits both mammalian and malarial SERCAs. These findings led to hypothesis that artermisins interact with a region of PfATP6 that binds thapsigargin-binding cleft of malarial and mammalian SERCAs, and are the determinant of the arteminisinin.Based on the previous data and literature, the authors identified PfATP6 as a target site. Using bioinformatics the researchers compared the amino acid sequences of mammalian and malarial SERCAs, and found that the leu263 residue is unique along with few more amino acid. After identification, different mutant were constructed to determine the affinity of arteminsins towards these mutated forms to establish its role of each amino acid towards arteminsins sensitivity. To determine the role of leu263 and other amino acids in PfATP6 doain. Different mutant of PfATP6 were express in Xenopus oocyte and functionality test were performed. It wa s shown that in case of altered Leu263 sensitivity decreased to almost three fold. Whereas alteration of other amino acids along with leu263 lead to 10 fold decrease in sensitivity. Similarly, introduction of Leu263 in non-sensitive sps. like Plasmodium vivax and P. berghei ether increased or decreased sensitivity.
