The Problems of Marriage and Divorce

Marriage is not only a social institution. It is a spiritual alliance between two people who love each other and in which belief and trust are the necessary parts of its development. However, many couples often can face definite difficulties with their marriages because they can deviate from the way on which they should follow the principles of marriage given in the Bible.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on The Problems of Marriage and Divorce specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More There are a lot of issues in marriage which are difficult to solve only according to the social and moral rules and norms. It is significant to remember what the Lord says about marriage in order to complete his will and find the peace in souls and the marriage. The Bible says that man could not be alone. That is why it is necessary to do all possible to find the harmony and light in marriage. It is known that according to the Christian traditi on a couple can be considered as married when a man and a woman have exchanged the vows in the presence of a priest and witnesses. Thus, â€Å"marriage is an exclusive relationship. The total unity of persons – physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually – comprehended by the concept â€Å"one flesh†.1 It is important to be married in front of God’s face; this concept differs from the social perception of the marriage. That is why promiscuity is also forbidden according to the Christian tradition. Thus, that marriage which was not honored in church is considered as not holy. The Bible says that â€Å"marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral†.2 If the marriage is holy, there is no place for adulterer in it. When a couple wants to marry it is significant to remember about the responsibility. The church rejects the majority of divorces because these t wo people have vowed to be together in spite of the difficulties and temptations. â€Å"Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate†. 3 Moreover, â€Å"God instituted marriage so that men and women might complete one another and share in his creative work through the procreation of children†.4 That is why the problem of divorce in relation to the Word is still discussed by scholars.Advertising Looking for essay on social sciences? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth†.6 Today two visions of the divorce issue exist. Many Christians interpret the Word of New Testament and emphasize the problem of adultery as the main reason for the permission of the divorce and for the remarriage. However, we cannot say strictly about the facts because the Bible says clearly about the situation when one of two people is dead and their right to be married again.7 Marriage is the base for the spiritual development of two people who live in love and have children. Moreover, the family as the result of marriage is the important social cell. To feel safety and harmony in the heart, it is necessary to follow the holy principles described in the Bible and remember that couple is a unity which cannot be separated because it is saved by God. Nous, Noology, and the Noosphere

Nous, Noology, and the Noosphere Nous, Noology, and the Noosphere Nous, Noology, and the Noosphere By Maeve Maddox My introduction to nous to mean â€Å"common sense† came from my reading of the Inspector Morse mystery novels by Colin Dexter. Morse frequently tells his long-suffering sergeant, Robbie Lewis, to use his: Morse  interrupted him. â€Å"Christ man, youre not in apron strings.  Use your nous!† Nous comes from ancient Greek philosophy in which it is the word for mind. It entered English with the meanings â€Å"mind, intellect, intelligence,† and â€Å"intuitive apprehension.† British speakers use nous colloquially to mean â€Å"common sense, practical intelligence, or gumption.† Some speakers make it rhyme with house; others with noose. Also deriving from the Greek word for mind are the words noology and noosphere: noology noun: the branch of learning that deals with the mind or thinking; the study of the spiritual or distinctively human aspects of humanity. noosphere noun: the part of the biosphere occupied by thinking humanity; (with reference to the writing of P. Teilhard de Chardin) a stage or sphere of evolutionary development characterized by (the emergence or dominance of) consciousness, the mind, and interpersonal relationships, postulated as following the stage of the establishment of human life. Since the 1940s, these words have been gaining popularity in discussions of cybernetics. We swim in imagination and bring the noosphere alive with collective consciousness. Wired, 1996. This paper also introduces Noology, which is the study of the intellect and intellectual phenomena and explains how Noosphere is connected with Cyberspace.- Abstract of a paper titled Application of Cybernetics in Cyber Criminology. Some people are going beyond the interaction between the noosphere and the physical world and see a link between the Internet and the noosphere.- Waking Times, a news blog. Princeton University’s Global Consciousness Project measures changes in global human consciousness. When random number generators indicate that some great event has â€Å"[synchronized] the feelings of millions of people,† the researchers â€Å"calculate one in a trillion odds that the effect is due to chance.† According to the project’s website, â€Å"the evidence suggests an emerging noosphere or the unifying field of consciousness described by sages in all cultures.† There can be no question that human interaction with computers is affecting the way people think and behave, not necessarily in a desirable way. Computer scientist Jaron Lanier sounds a warning against the consequences of a Web culture dominated by advertising and aimed at imposing conformity in his book You Are Not a Gadget, Knopf, 2010 (paperback, 2011). Traducir Conjugation in Spanish, Translations, and Examples

Traducir Conjugation in Spanish, Translations, and Examples The irregular verb traducir usually means to translate, although it can also mean to explain or to change one thing (not just a language) to another. Below youll find tables with the complete  traducir  conjugation. How to Conjugate Traducir?   Traducir conjugates in two ways that are different from regular -ir verbs: When the second syllable is stressed and -duc- is followed by an a or o, -duc- becomes -duzc-.When the second syllable is stressed and -duc- is followed by an e or i, -duc- becomes -duj-. The tenses  that are irregular are the present indicative, the preterite indicative, the present subjunctive, and the imperfect subjunctive. The other indicative tenses (imperfect, conditional, and conditional) are regular, as are the imperative mood (commands), the gerund, and the past participle. All other verbs ending in -ducir also follow this pattern. There are about a dozen such verbs, the most common being conducir (to drive or conduct), inducir (to induce), introducir (to insert or introduce), reducir (to reduce), reproducir (to reproduce), and seducir (to tempt). Present Indicative Tense of Traducir Yo traduzco I translate Yo traduzco libros infantiles. T traduces You translate T traduces el documento para tus amigos. Usted/l/ella traduce You/he/she translates Ella traduce los trminos tcnicos. Nosotros traducimos We translate Nosotros traducimos las noticias del espaol al ingls. Vosotros traducs You translate Vosotros traducs los discursos al lenguaje de seas. Ustedes/ellos/ellas traducen You/they translate Ellos traducen las instrucciones. Usted/l/ella tradujo You/he/she translated Ella tradujo los trminos tcnicos. Nosotros tradujimos We translated Nosotros tradujimos las noticias del espaol al ingls. Review of You Know When the Men Are Gone by Siobhan Fallon Essay

Review of You Know When the Men Are Gone by Siobhan Fallon - Essay Example The author, Siobhan Fallon has invested in these stories a variety of emotions, realism and conciseness, which is prominent in the writing style and the tone used by the author. This book, â€Å"You Know When Men are Gone† movingly makes the citizens of the United States of America and its readers, recall, remember and pay tribute to the numerous sacrifices made by officials and staff of the naval, land, marine and the air forces of the country and not only the officials but also their parents, wives and children as well. This shows us that the sacrifices, like charity, when in the armed forces, begin at home. This book makes extensive use of different elements of literature, namely denotation and symbolism and these are used at numerous places, across all the stories. â€Å"Fallon provides a full three-sixty on military life, taking readers into the daily existences of both the women left behind to manage the mundane details and minor crises of domestic life and the loud-tal king, cursing, dreaming-of-home men who, knowing that they cannot control what happens while they’re away, grapple with the undeniable possibility that when they do finally return to home and family, they won’t find the same home and family they left† (Schinsky).   This book despite its very clear and denotative message of the absence of the military personnel from home, possesses a certain connotation. Set in the very secure colony of Fort Hood as well as the Green Zone in Iraq, the symbolism in this book by Fallon focuses on the world within the all the stake holders of war, especially the men fighting, the women waiting and the children crying. The stories in this capacity are inarguably out of the ordinary and attention grasping. This is not because of the fact that they are informative, emotional and heart wrenching but because they shed light on the truth—the profound, expressive truth of all the stakeholders of war and all those involved in these stories. This is because of the reason that the write Siobhan Fallon pursues first the complete realism of the life and surroundings of her book’s character. This she does through the prose which is concise and reverberating, later attaching with it a connotation. Therefore, the collection of short stories, received much praise from the masses and they exceeded expectations of all those who read them, primarily because of the fact that these stories were merely a narration by the author about her personal experiences. Each one of the short storiesput forth a varied theme, ranging from the partsthat military personnel, their staff and their colleagues must fulfill, regardless of the degree of command or the location, wherever they are, home or combat. This novel makes the readers aware of the elusive control that the military transmits even over the most apparentlyinsignificantfacets of time, how lengthy the grass may grow in the front yard, and the superiorand significant par t that is played by the families of these military personnel in each other’s lives. The family network, as described in the book is so inter woven that the families start feeling a certain sense of dependence upon each other. The author of this short stories collection Siobhan Fallon has taken great care of very intricate and seemingly lesser important matters. The author here has been very cautious and

Push, Pull or Drag in....Another Misleading TV Commercial :: Essays Papers

Push, Pull or Drag in....Another Misleading TV Commercial Have you ever been watching TV and seen a car commercial that says, â€Å" Come on down to your local Ford Automotive, and you can get a car of your choice for just $129 a month (Spitzer, 2003).† Some have even used lines like, â€Å"Do whatever you have to do push, pull or drag your car in, and drive away in a brand new car† (Spitzer, 2003). The commercial may never stop to give you the details of the qualification requirements for the cars. So making those push or pull journeys to the dealer ends up costing you more money than you expected. This type of TV commercial can be confusing to many consumers, and end up misleading the consumer into a deal they did not expect. The Attorney General and the Department of Motor Vehicles of several States are now putting auto dealers on notice. In the states of New York and Nevada they are warning them: â€Å"Your advertisements had better be accurate† (Knapp, Eyewitness News, 2004). Studies from the Attorney General of New York Eliot Spitzer, gives many consumer tips to finding misleading advertisements. â€Å"Push, Pull, and Drag it in, Guaranteed Trade-in $3,000!† This is a ploy slogan that really confuses consumers, especially college students. In reality, the dealers cannot pay money for a trade in no matter how much it is actually worth. The dealers can only put that hypothetical â€Å"trade-in money† toward the purchase of another car. â€Å"Dealers often raise the prices of the cars on their lots prior to this sale† (Spitzer, 2003). So in the end, you are really not getting much of a bargain. When watching a car commercial, look for the details in getting this new ca r for your â€Å"push or pull,† there should be a description of how much money must be put down at the time of the trade. If this is not being done, you can report the violating car dealer to your state attorney general’s office. Another misleading portion of car commercials is the financial explanation is: â€Å"$49 down or $0 down with no interest for 6 months† (Spitzer, 2003). Sounds great doesn’t it? Well, this is where many college students are tricked because they never tell you about the tax, title, and registration fees that are included at the time of your purchase. They start to get a lot of attention because of how quick their success is. With fame and money come drugs.Belabor does a lot of cocaine to stay on the edge of things and keep up with his competition. They throw a bunch of parties with their staff with all their money they are making. He makes it onto Forbes magazine, and that's how the feds find out about him. He tries to cover up his scams and make it not look so obvious for the feds, but starts to take the right approach and moves his money to a European bank. The feds find out about him and he has to make a decision If h e wants to retire from his company and go to jail, and of course, because ex.'s Insane, he keeps the company going and It goes under. The director made this movie was to catch the viewer's eye with a true story. It was very Interesting to watch because of all of the Parthenon going on through out the movie. The director produced this in a way of everything being very precise but at the same time giving it a Hollywood twist. All of the lighting, soundtrack and imagery are on spot and having Leonardo play the role of Mr†¦ Belabor was excellent casting. It felt as though the movie had more than one climax as it as so exciting. The director told an interesting story. The story itself is crazy because it was real and it was done realistic. It is hard to believe that something like that could happen nowadays with all the surveillance. The actors did a good job, Leonardo Didactic, did a really superior Job in his role. The dry humor, the parties, and the drugs were funny. There was neve r really a slow scene, It always got right to the action. My generation would like this movie because they do young and dumb stuff like us, but really It Is a excellent movie for any high school and older audience.
